Warren Wilson College

Back to school....
We were very excited to do some work at Warren Wilson. It is a super "green" school and has a great philosophy. All the students must work on campus. They have landscaping crews, paint crews, carpentry crews, and even grow their own food.
This is the art building. They used to have a covered bike parking area, but do to other construction projects they needed more faculty office space.
We moved the old window out and put a door to the office in.
Brian laying tile in the new office.
Spray foam in the ceiling.
Rigid foam with taped seems on top of the wall sheathing.
To make the floor elevations work, we had to tear out the old slab. Here is the thickened edge with rigid foam under the wall plate. This will keep cold outside concrete from radiating into the new inside slab.
Here is the original nook. We were able to keep the roof and basically build an exterior wall to enclose it.
