Montreat

This is a home in Montreat that was built in the 1880's by the grandfather. The house is a classic Montreat family home shared by everyone in the family.

As with any old house, there are always things to fix. Here, the tongue and groove ceiling on the porch had old water damage and was sagging.
This is an old back window. We pulled the window out and replaced it with French Doors. This allows more sunlight and will provide for a great patio in the spring.
This side of the house had an old carport that had collapsed under last winters snow. After we pulled the carport completely off the house, an exposed door had been allowing water to get in the house. We pulled the door out and replaced it with a salvaged window from where the French Door went in. We repaired siding and flashed the bottom to keep the water out.

The finished side window.

New tongue and groove ceiling.

New French door with small bracket roof. This spring we will help the homeowners do a paver patio and steps.
