Montreat Patio

Here we are back at the house in Montreat. The big family project this year is to put down pavers off the new french door.

We came in to install a mesa block retaining wall and prep them for laying pavers.

Here is the back side of the wall. This is a heavy duty wall system.
Here we are grading and roughing in the base coarse and wall footing.

The original grade. Here the grade sloped back towards the house and was not great terrain for entertaining. The new paver patio will be a great spot for the grill and chairs. It will also tie in the old slab on the side of the house.
