Hendersonville Custom Wood Countertops

Here is a custom wood counter top project. We removed the old particle board tops from the 70's, screwed a layer of 3/4 plywood down and installed the wood. This is stained southern yellow pine from the Mississippi Delta. I bought it milled with tongue and groove and is 8" wide boards that are 12 feet long.

Here is a shot pre-stain.

The old particle board. Here the bar top was a 24" piece like the rest of the kitchen. Unfortunately, that made an awkward overhang in the kitchen side. This limited the usable space.
